Jungkook and Jimin of BTS have finished their obligatory military service in South Korea. On Tuesday night, Jungkook shared a message with fans to mark the occasion, shortly after RM and V were discharged a day earlier.

“WE ARE BACK,” Jungkook posted on Instagram, featuring a photo of himself and Jimin in their military uniforms.

Jin was the first of the group to complete his service, returning in June 2024, followed by J-Hope in October. J-Hope reflected on his time away, saying, “The thoughts I had during those times have become an inseparable part of me, nurturing and shaping who I am today. Ultimately, they have influenced the stories I tell, the music I aspire to create.”

Only Suga remains in service, expected to conclude his duties later this month. He has been serving as a social service agent, an alternative to traditional military duties, which generally involves a shorter term. Suga will be the last member of BTS to return, as South Korean law mandates that men complete a 21-month service by the age of 28.

Although no official announcements regarding a BTS reunion have been made, fans are hopeful the group will regroup this year. Jungkook had expressed his eagerness to reconnect with fans, stating during his enlistment in November, “I promise that I’ll be back on stage with a more mature side where I always am. I hope ARMY’s lives will always be full of laughter and happiness. I’ll miss you deeply while waiting for the day we meet again and talk about something new. Don’t get sick and stay healthy. I love you.”
