On Sunday, Jennifer Garner honored her ex-husband Ben Affleck with a touching Father’s Day post. The former couple, who were married for a decade, share three teenage children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13.

Garner shared a nostalgic image of Affleck cradling one of their children, captioning it, “Happy Father’s Day to 3 people’s favorite landing spot.”

In addition to acknowledging Affleck, Garner also paid homage to her late father, William Garner, who passed away last year. She reflected on the impact of fatherhood in her life, writing, “Being fathered by someone who loves being a dad is a gift; my sisters and I know this love and (lucky for us) all of our kids do, too,” accompanied by a video of her and her father walking in matching overalls.

She concluded her message with a heartfelt note: “Happy Father’s Day to the Dads, no matter where you are. To the uncles and grandfathers and father figures, too. We love you.”

In a nod to family togetherness, Affleck was seen celebrating Mother’s Day with Garner in May, arriving at her home for the occasion. The actor has previously expressed admiration for Garner’s parenting skills, having publicly praised her on Mother’s Day in a now-deleted Instagram post from 2021, stating, “So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world. Thanks for all the good you do. Happy Mother’s Day. Love, their Dad.”

Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 until their separation in 2015, a divorce that was finalized in October 2018. Despite their split, they have maintained a strong friendship and collaborative co-parenting relationship.

Affleck spoke highly of their co-parenting dynamic in a recent GQ interview, saying, “I’m really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well.” He often reiterates how fortunate he feels to share parenting duties with Garner.
