Aaron Judge is poised to be the top vote-getter in the American League as Phase 1 of the 2025 MLB All-Star Ballot progresses, which would secure him an automatic position in the starting outfield. Four additional outfielders will move to Phase 2, competing for the last two spots. While Riley Greene has a strong chance of advancing, the competition for the remaining outfield positions is expected to be fierce. Mike Trout, who ended his streak of ten consecutive fan-vote victories in 2024, is once again in contention this year. The vote total is incredibly tight, with fewer than 95,000 votes separating Trout in third place from Carpenter in seventh. With Greene, Javier Báez, and Carpenter all ranked among the top seven, it’s likely that the AL-leading Detroit Tigers could have three outfielders battling for spots in Phase 2.
