The London premiere of Gareth Edwards’ latest film, Jurassic World Rebirth, drew significant attention on Tuesday night as the cast celebrated the release of this highly anticipated sequel. Stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend graced the green carpet at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square, along with the film’s director and producers.

Excited fans lined the carpet, eager to spot their favorite stars taking on new challenges in the Jurassic franchise. Johansson turned heads in a sleek pink dress, while Bailey opted for a laid-back attire, reminiscent of the early ’90s, completing his look with a cap and blazer—a nod to the era when the original Jurassic Park debuted.

Before the film screening, director Gareth Edwards addressed the audience, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the film. “You make a film like this and directors get all the credit. It just isn’t fair,” he remarked, acknowledging the cast and crew involved, including ensemble actors Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.

Edwards went on to describe the creative process, saying, “Just like the dinosaurs in these films, you sort of hold on as long as you can. And you try to contain it… but at some point it escapes and it’s out in the world. [The dinosaurs] all belong to you now.”

According to projections from The Hollywood Reporter, Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh installment in a beloved franchise that began with Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic, is expected to earn between $120 million and $125 million during the five-day holiday period.

The screenplay, written by David Koepp, is set five years after the events of Colin Trevorrow’s Dominion, in a world where Earth’s environment has become unwelcoming to dinosaurs and other resurrected species. The surviving creatures now inhabit far-flung tropical regions.

In the film, Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, a covert operative who is recruited by a pharmaceutical company. She teams up with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, played by Bailey, and team leader Duncan Kincaid, portrayed by Ali, for a top-secret mission.

Jurassic World Rebirth will be released in North America and the U.K. on July 2.
