Israeli Military Shifts Focus Back to Gaza Amid Ongoing Tensions with Iran

Eyal Zamir, the chief of staff of the Israeli military, announced that the military’s attention is refocusing on Gaza to secure the return of hostages and to “dismantle Hamas’s rule.” Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Office reported that over 400 individuals have died from gunfire or shells fired by the Israeli military while attempting to reach distribution sites of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) since late May.

In related developments, former President Donald Trump expressed his discontent with both Israel and Iran, urging Israel to “not drop those bombs” on Iran. He criticized both nations for breaching the ceasefire agreement he had previously brokered, stating that he was “unhappy” with their actions. Trump urged, “Israel needs to calm down” following an Iranian missile launch earlier that morning, and remarked that both countries “do not know what the f*** they’re doing.”

These statements come amidst escalating tensions as the Israel-Iran conflict continues to evolve, with significant implications for the broader Middle East crisis.
