Fans of the horror genre have reason to celebrate as Universal Studios has officially announced the arrival of “Five Nights at Freddy’s” to its Halloween Horror Nights events in both Hollywood and Orlando.

This year, the popular video game and movie franchise will make its debut in a “whole new way,” suggesting it may not follow the traditional haunted house format that attendees have come to expect. Additional details about the event are expected to be unveiled soon, building anticipation among visitors.

“Five Nights at Freddy’s” has been a strong contender for inclusion in the event, given its broad appeal across various demographics. It had previously appeared in Halloween Horror Nights 32 at Universal Orlando as a photo opportunity, while Hollywood featured animatronic displays from the franchise in its Blumhouse: Behind the Screams experience.

Created by Scott Cawthon in 2014, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” began as a video game and has since expanded into a successful franchise, including multiple sequels, a variety of merchandise, and a film released by Blumhouse in 2023, with a sequel currently in pre-production.
