Former Assistant Claims PTSD from Tenure with Combs
A former assistant, identified as “Mia,” testified in court about her experiences while working for Sean Combs, stating that the job led her to develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
During her testimony, the defense scrutinized Mia’s social media interactions with Combs, highlighting instances where she expressed affection for him, referring to him as a “mentor and inspiration.” In response, Mia defended her posts, indicating they depicted the positive aspects of her life at the time. When questioned about promoting a figure she claims diminished her happiness, she explained, “I had to support the things Puff supported. It was very confusing, ups and downs.”
The defense attempted to highlight inconsistencies in her statements. They pointed out her claim of living in constant fear of displeasing Combs while also sharing that she saw herself as his best friend. “It’s easy because the dynamic would shift. When things are good, I felt really safe; you almost forget about those things,” she elaborated, referring to her traumatic memories. Mia further expressed her feelings of responsibility for Combs, noting, “It was psychological. I felt responsible for helping him. I felt bad for him. I don’t know how to describe it.”
