Demi Lovato and her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, embraced their playful side by recreating a memorable moment from Keeping Up with the Kardashians while celebrating their honeymoon. On June 16, Lovato, 32, posted an Instagram reel featuring the couple lip-syncing to dialogue from the show, specifically the infamous scene where Kim Kardashian loses her diamond earring in the ocean.
With a humorous twist, Lovato mimicked Kardashian’s distressed words, “My earring’s gone! Oh my God, I’m gonna cry,” as she waded through the water. She wore a stylish cut-out one-piece swimsuit and jested, “My diamond earrings,” during the performance.
Jutes, 34, joined in on the fun by portraying Kourtney Kardashian, quipping, “What’s wrong with you, guys?” Moments later, he reflected Lovato’s anxiety, echoing, “Kim, there’s people that are dying,” as she climbed out of the water. Lovato captioned the entertaining clip with the straightforward phrase, “We had to.”
Fans delighted in the couple’s spot-on reenactment, flooding the comments with compliments. One user exclaimed, “Omfg the lip sync in the water is so good 😂😂😂,” while another remarked, “I love it😂😂😂🔥.” A third fan humorously noted, “I knew you were going to do it 😂.”
The original scene aired in August 2011, featuring Kardashian on vacation in Bora Bora with her then-partner, Kris Humphries. During a playful moment, Humphries threw Kardashian into the water, leading her to realize her earring was missing. The situation was resolved when her sister, Kylie Jenner, dove to retrieve it.
While on their honeymoon, Lovato and Jutes shared additional memories through an Instagram carousel dubbed “Honeymoon dump.” Photos included affectionate moments during dinner, Lovato sporting an orange bikini, the couple enjoying jet-skiing, and various pictures of Lovato in different swimsuits.
The couple celebrated their marriage in a ceremony in California on May 25. Following the wedding, a source revealed to PEOPLE that Lovato is now “very healthy both physically and mentally” after overcoming significant personal struggles in the past. Lovato and Jutes first met in 2022 while collaborating on her album, Holy Fvck.
