The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported on Sunday that U.S. bombings significantly impacted Iran’s Fordo fuel enrichment facility. During an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi revealed that the bombings resulted in extensive damage at the Isfahan and Natanz sites, as reported by the Washington Post. “At this time, no one, including the IAEA, is in the position to assess the underground damage at Fordo,” Grossi stated. He noted that Iranian officials confirmed there has been no rise in off-site radiation levels at the three nuclear facilities. Iran is currently working to evaluate the extent of the damage, according to the New York Times.
