LSU Baseball Overcomes UCLA 9-5 to Secure Semifinal Spot

OMAHA, Neb. – LSU Baseball triumphed over UCLA with a score of 9-5 on Tuesday afternoon at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, propelling themselves into the bracket final of the College World Series.

With this victory, LSU improved its overall record to 50-15, while UCLA dropped to 48-17, now facing elimination in the loser’s bracket.

The Tigers are set to return to Charles Schwab Field Omaha for the College World Series semifinal matchup on Wednesday, June 18, at 6 p.m. CT. Fans can catch the game on ESPN or tune into the LSU Sports Radio Network via LSUsports.net/live.

Casan Evans was instrumental in the win, pitching 4 1/3 innings, recording five strikeouts, allowing no walks, and giving up only two runs.

The LSU-UCLA clash originally began on Monday evening at 6 p.m. CT but was disrupted by rain and lightning after three innings. The game was subsequently suspended and resumed on Tuesday at 10:03 a.m.
