Starmer Urges Iran to Resume Negotiations Following US Strikes

Sir Keir Starmer has urged Iran to “return to the negotiating table” in light of recent US airstrikes targeting nuclear sites in the country. The UK Prime Minister emphasized the importance of regional stability and characterized Iran’s nuclear ambitions as “a grave threat to international security.” According to the BBC, the UK was not involved in the US military actions against Iranian facilities, but Starmer was briefed ahead of the strikes. He asserted, “Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and the US has taken action to alleviate that threat.”
