Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar denounced Iran’s assault on Soroka Hospital, labeling it a “war crime” on Thursday. The attack, which occurred earlier in the day, resulted in injuries to over 70 individuals.
Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, Sa’ar pointed to the surgery building, emphasizing its role in saving lives. “Behind me you can see the surgery building. It is a building in which every day, the medical team, the doctors, are making tremendous efforts to save human lives. This is exactly the place where the Iranian regime targeted – a civilian hospital. This is clearly a war crime,” he stated. He further criticized Iran’s actions as part of a broader strategy of targeting civilians, asserting, “It reflects the Iranian regime’s consistent strategy; they are deliberately targeting civilian population, civilian targets, civilians, children, elderly people. It is unacceptable.”
Sa’ar reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to its operations against Iran, declaring that the campaign would persist until all objectives are achieved. “We will continue with our operation in Iran. We have a very detailed plan. We know what we do. We will continue to hit nuclear objectives. We will continue to hit ballistic missile objectives. And we will not stop for even one minute before we complete the mission,” he affirmed.
