U.S. Intercepts Missiles Targeting Israel Amid Rising Tensions with Iran

On Friday night, Iran fired dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation for a surprise Israeli strike that had occurred earlier that day. The Israeli operation targeted key sites within Iran’s nuclear program, resulting in the deaths of several nuclear scientists and senior military leaders, as reported by Israeli officials.

The missile attack injured at least 41 individuals in Israel. Witnesses in Tel Aviv captured explosions during the assault.

A U.S. official clarified to ABC News that the United States did not participate in the Israeli strike and had no prior military involvement at that time. However, U.S. forces assisted in intercepting the missiles launched toward Israel.
