Excitement is building around Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 tablets, but the latest leaks reveal a mixed bag of information for eager fans. While details about these Android tablets have been sparse, rumors suggest they are still several months away from hitting the market.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series will reportedly consist of two models, similar to the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, but notably different from the three-model Galaxy Tab S9 family. The 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will receive a direct successor, while the 12.4-inch Tab S10 Plus is expected to remain without an upgrade for now. Instead, Samsung is planning to offer an 11-inch variant of the Tab S11, rumored to feature an 8,160mAh battery—an upgrade from the 8,000mAh capacity of the previous model, the Galaxy Tab S9.

Consumers might feel a sense of disappointment at the news, particularly regarding the absence of a direct follow-up to the Tab S10 Plus. However, those hoping for the larger Tab S11 Ultra may be pleased by its anticipated enhancements. This model is expected to come with a significantly larger battery capacity of 11,374mAh, which could be advertised at around 11,700 to 12,000mAh, surpassing the 11,200mAh capacity of its predecessor.

While precise specifications for the Galaxy Tab S11 models remain uncertain, it’s clear that the Tab S11 Ultra is on track to offer improved battery longevity compared to earlier versions. Both the Galaxy Tab S10 + and Tab S10 Ultra currently run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chipset, so there is speculation that the upcoming Tab S11 series might utilize a newer, more advanced Dimensity 9400 SoC. Some hopeful sources even suggest the possibility of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite.

As for the dimensions and features of the Tab S11 Ultra, questions remain regarding whether the display will expand beyond the current 14.6 inches or if the tablet will maintain the sleek 5.4mm profile of the Tab S10 Ultra.

The launch timeline for the Galaxy Tab S11 series is also up in the air. Historically, high-end Samsung tablets have had inconsistent announcement dates. The Tab S10 duo debuted in September 2024, with previous models scheduled for July and February releases. Therefore, speculation leans towards an official unveiling of the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra potentially happening in early 2026, rather than this summer alongside other anticipated devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Flip 7.

As the release date remains uncertain, the tech community continues to buzz about Samsung’s promising advancements, including high-end smartphones and several upcoming Galaxy wearables, while eagerly anticipating further announcements about the Galaxy Tab S11 series and its Ultra counterpart.
